We wish to advise all Landlords with heaters or air-conditioners installed in their property, that the law distinguishes these as 'urgent repairs'.
What does this mean?
The landlord or agent must arrange for the repairs to be done as soon as possible.
If the tenant cannot reach us, or we do not receive approval from you to arrange repairs, the tenant can argue that the repair has not been done within a reasonable time and may be able to arrange for the work to be done and be reimbursed by the landlord, up to $1000.
